+ What is Brazillian Jiu Jitsu?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art based mainly on grappling and ground fighting, focusing on controlling your opponent through skill, technique, and leverage. Itโ€™s an art that enables smaller and โ€˜weakerโ€™ people to regain control and dominance against a bigger opponent.

Jiu Jitsu involves a lot of strategic thinking and technique, and there are many different techniques to learn. Itโ€™s more about your mentality, rather than your physical strength. The sport is continuously growing in popularity.

+ What do I need to bring for my first class?

Please wear comfortable athletic clothes, without zippers or metal, for example sport shorts or yoga pants and a sports shirt or rashguard.

bringing a towel is recommended as well and please make sure your nails are trimmed and your hygiene is on point.

+ What are the gym rules?

+ Should I be fit or have experience in martial arts before joining training?

Definitely not, by training Jiu Jitsu or Striking you will be able to get fit and gain the experience. We all started out as beginners at some point.

+ Should I wash my GI after every training?

100% yes, we value hygiene highly and do not accept a smelly GI on the mats.

+ How do I wash my GI correctly?

Washing methods

Never wash your gi in hot water, unless you want to shrink to a smaller size gi.

-Always turn your gi inside out when putting it into the washing machine.

-Wash your giโ€™s separate from regular clothes


Drying your gi correctly.

-DO NOT put your gi in the dryer unless you want it to shrink.

-Place your gi in a dry place or in front of a fan instead.

In case your gi is too big and you canโ€™t get a refund, try following these easy steps:

  1. Wash your gi in hot water (from 30-40 degrees Celsius)

  2. Dry your gi in an open space

  3. Keep repeating this process until the gi matches your size.

+ Do you do GI rentals?

Yes we will at the beginning of October and we will have them in many sizes, the rental price is $2.5 per time.

PS: we expect to have GIs for loan at the beginning of October. .

+ Do I need to wear a mouthguard?

We absolutely recommend wearing a mouthguard during sparring.

+ At what age can my child start martial arts.

Every child is different. However, we believe that around 4 years is a good age to start a martial arts. If you think your child is ready to try out our classes, please contact us.

+ What does MMA stand for?

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is used to describe any modern style of martial arts which incorporate techniques and theories from several martial arts. This especially applies to MMA styles which incorporate a mixture of ground fighting, stand-up striking, and takedowns in their training.

+ What style of Kickboxing is being taught?

We focus on technical Kickboxing techniques, similar to the Dutch Kickboxing style, our classes consist mostly of solo and partner drills and may include sparring.

+ Are there changing rooms, showers and lockers available at the gym?

We do have changing rooms and showers, however we do not have lockers at the moment.

+ Are there towels for use/loan at the gym?

Right now we do not have any towel service (yet). Please bring your own towel.

+ Is there drinking water available at the gym?

Yes there is, we have bottles of water available for purchase as well as free Alkaline filtered water rich in nutrient minerals provided by Kiyoi Cambodia

+ Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and ABA transfer.
